CARLO GIORGIANNI

Carlo Giorgianni, nelle grandi tele, sulle quali il gesto dispone segni e colori, con un’intensità pari alla rcarica interiore, esprime energia vitale che ora è violenta e misteriosa, ora chiara e solare, a seconda che il colore si incupisce, senza però perdere la qualità e l’essenza del suo essere quel colore che si allarga o si chiarisce attraverso la  scelta di toni più tenui e brillanti.

L’opera è un esempio di percorso artistico piuttosto coerente con la personalità artistica di Giorgianni. Egli infatti, ha attinto dal vasto bacino dell’Informale, selezionando artisti e opere in virtù delle affinità sentimentali e suggestioni tecniche in base alle espressività del suo momento artistico.La sua ricerca dello “Spazio Pittorico” si basa sullo stile di Rothko e, nella gestualità, da Kline a Vedova fino al dripping attraverso queste tre espressioni, l’artista esprime il suo linguaggio in base alla sua personale sensibilità cromatica composta da ricchi impasti ocra luminosissimi sul quale vengono applicate grosse pennellate nere, che negli ultimi anni della sua produzione artistica vengono notevolmente ridimensionate.   Carlo Giorgianni  - He was born in Messina in 1937. Carlo Giorgianni, in large paintings expresses a vital energy that is now a violent and mysterious, now clear and solar, depending on the color darkness, but without losing the quality  and the essence of his being that color that expands and clarified though the choise of more subdued tones and bright.

UNTITLED - 1984 - oil and acrylic on canvas - The work is an example of artistic consistent with the artistic style of Giorgianni. In fact, he has drawn from the vast resevoir of “Informal”, selecting artists and works by virtue of the sentimental affinity techniques and suggestions based on the expressiveness of its artistic moment. His search for the “Pictorial Space” is based on the style of Rothko and the gestures from Kline to Vedova until dripping through these three expressions of the artist expresses his pictorial language based on his personal sense of color made up of bright ocher-rich mixtures on which fat black brushstrokes are applied, which in the last years of his artistic production are significantly resized.
